Once I performed with Piero, Jack Smith, Angus MacLise and others in a radio version of Piero’s BLUE DENTAUR at the old Cinematheque.  Piero insisted on keeping the curtain down so the audience would not see the players thereby maintaining the illusion of radio. The sounds were heavily muffled by the thick velvet curtains & when the performance was over the curtain was finally lifted revealing on Japanese spectator left from the previous program.
